Annex, Canada’s largest B2B media company, is currently looking for a seasoned content creator who can supply the high-quality content that our readers have come to expect.

Both brands provide comprehensive coverage of commercial, corporate, general and military aviation in Canada and around the world. We are looking for someone who matches our values, and our passion to use content to enrich the knowledge of our loyal audience.

What you will do:
•Lead the content strategy, direction, and execution of the entire brand across multiple platforms, including print, website, eNewsletters, social media, video, webinars and events.
•Produce original content for each publication, as well as manage each issue through the production process.
•Drive all digital and social media platforms, with a focus on sharing high-quality content and exploring ways to expand the brand’s audience and reach.
•Deliver engaging, timely and relevant online content, with a focus on producing interactive media like videos and podcasts, and improving audience metrics.
•Help create content for our Careers in Aviation Expo and Guide.
•Maintain, foster and build relationships with freelance writers, content contributors, and industry experts, associations and partners from coast to coast, and internationally.
•As part of a team, develop and launch new products and services that will benefit each brand’s loyal and expanding audience, both in print and digital.
•Attend company and industry events to better connect with your market and readers.
•Innovate and act on emerging trends and needs within the media world and your industry.

What the ideal Annex candidate looks like:
•In addition to a degree/diploma in journalism or related field, you have a minimum of three years’ experience in editing, writing or journalism.
•Comfort and/or experience with all forms of media communication, including but not limited to print, websites, video and social media.
•Ability to work together to achieve the best results and proven can do/will do attitude. You take ownership over all you do.
•Great organizational abilities, as well as excellent computer skills.
•Outgoing personality and comfort in social settings.
•Track record of going above and beyond to deliver the unexpected.
•Strong work ethic and willingness to adapt in a constantly evolving media business.
•Knowledge or an interest in farming is an asset but not required.
