our opportunity

RedPoint is looking for an experienced Advertising Sales Manager who can inspire and lead our amazing sales team. We need someone who is ready to play a vital role in shaping the future of our company.

This is an opportunity to:

• Identify, create and execute traditional and customized revenue strategies for all RedPoint products, as well as develop strategic initiatives for continued sales growth.

• Work with the publishers and managers to forecast budgets for all RedPoint products, and monitor those budgets to ensure that all sales quotas are met.

• Chair weekly sales meetings and attend overall strategy meetings, maintaining concise and accurate account summaries and meeting reports.

• Grow, support and manage a team of advertising sales representatives.

• Assist with sales proposals and presentations, oversee the production of sales tools, while developing new sales opportunities and product offerings.

• Establish and cultivate relationships with key decision-makers in order to assist bringing in new business and increasing existing business.

• Research client/partner needs and propose, sell and execute custom advertising solutions designed to address client objectives; this includes negotiating sales commitments for both new and existing clients as needed.

• Liaise and problem-solve between the sales team and other departments on major issues.

• Motivate and monitor the team through creative training and incentive programs; supervise performance reviews.

• Support the sales team by being a strong advocate for their continued growth and success as a part of the larger RedPoint team; this includes overseeing, assessing and encouraging fair and competitive compensation for the sales team, as well as assisting in contract preparation.

our ideal candidate

Our ideal candidate is a proactive, solutions-oriented salesperson and leader, with experience putting together and closing large and mid-sized annual and multi-year contracts, forecasting and managing targets, and leading teams.

Your skills, knowledge and know-how:

• You have 10+ years of advertising sales experience including at least five years at a senior or management level.

• A proven track record of outstanding sales performance, which includes exceptional selling, presentation, negotiation and closing skills, and the ability to create and implement innovative advertising sales programs.

• You can bring strong contacts in the Calgary marketplace to RedPoint, and of course have exceptional relationship-building skills.

• You are organized, prepared, and an engaging public speaker, great at motivating and managing a dynamic team.

• You have the ability to think and plan strategically, as well as solve problems and bring timely resolution to issues.

• Last but definitely not least, your people skills are a must; you have a positive attitude, enthusiasm, high energy and a sense of humor.
